Really outstanding location, large, clean rooms. Counter space in bathroom, really hot water. Great view from our balcony in room 403. Nail file in little kit, plug outlets on lamps. Gas Fireplace in our room!

If you're looking for a nice, comfortable local experience, then you should be pleased. Price is very affordable, our room was clean, bedding is updated and comfy. Shower was hot immediately and great water flow. The walls are thin and we could hear our neighbors talking (although you couldn't really tell what they were saying) and you can hear doors closing and the shower water plumbing sound. Breakfast was included and it was basic but just fine. Service staff was very friendly and the location is fabulous! There's a deli and market just around the corner and across the street from restaurants, Vesuvio and Grasing's. Staff at Grasing's was fantastic and so was the food and drinks. We stayed here for a little local exploration before we headed up to Sonoma and Napa for wine tastings. Perfect for this kind of little stay.

We spent two nights midweek here in late October. The weather was superb and the area was not at all crowded. There's a wonderful market just steps away with all kinds of prepared deli food to take away. Restaurants and shops are very close. We walked to the beach one evening to watch the sunset. We parked right outside our door. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the breakfast is good. The photos are a view from our balcony and a shot from the beach.

Highly recommend the Carmel Bay View Inn. It is very well maintained and offers a retro feel of days past. The property is multi-level, and many rooms offer the option of being able to park just a few feet away from the entrance to your room. Many of the rooms offer an incredible view of the ocean, and of Carmel. As a result of being a short walkable distance from Ocean Avenue, you won’t experience lots of street noise while in your room. Trust me, you’ll very much appreciate this, especially in the morning. The beds are incredibly comfortable, our room had a fire place, an adequate coffee maker and refrigerator, and as you can see, the view was incredible! The daily Continental Breakfast was perfect, and the coffee is excellent. We only stayed here our first night in Carmel, but if we had to do it all over again, we would have stayed with them all 5 nights. We were upgraded to a phenomenal room with a wrap around balcony, and couldn’t have been treated any better by the staff.

Great for couple not great for family. Family is only on third floor with no views. Great stay for a day or 2. No USB charger. Shower is not strong pressure. Our bathroom door didn't lock. Luckily we stayed 1 night w/ family. Amazing continental breakfast. Eggs,becon,toast, muffins/Danish coffee/apple&orange juice. Cereal/yogurt. Save me alot of money since carmel by the sea is expensive place and this bay view inn is a great deal. The best location ever! Every food & attractions location you see in TikTok & YouTube is only a walk away! Carmel by the sea is unique town where it carter's older wine and overpriced foodies bubble. Nothing for kids except for the beach infested w/ flies and hard to enjoy.

Truly a gem in Carmel by the Sea! Beautiful place with large rooms, comfy bed, comfy pillows. Nice fireplace in room however no A/C. Even for August, it was OK. We left our window open and the room was quite comfortable. Surprisingly as we cannot sleep well without AC. The staff was above and beyond, from the front desk (thanks Luis) to the breakfast room staff to the housekeeping staff. Helpful and great service. The free breakfast was great. Scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, bread, bagels, Danish, muffins, yogurt, fruit, juices, cereal and more. Varied each day, fresh and delicious. Nice strong coffee too! Nice heated pool, plenty of free parking on site. Exceptional cleanliness throughout the property. Added bonus, local grocery/deli, Bruno's, right next door including a huge wine selection! Walkable area with plenty of shops, restaurants, pharmacy. Such a wonderful experience. Cannot wait to go back!!

We stayed for one night during our road trip from SF to LA. Carmel-by-the-Sea is a beautiful place — it reminded me of those small-town TV shows. The hotel was great! It included breakfast and free parking, and our room had a fireplace, which made it feel very cozy.

I brought my family to Carmel for a short trip and chose to stay here. The environment is very comfortable, the location is great, and it is very quiet. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back next time. The customer service was excellent. We had a small issue with the room at first, but the staff responded quickly and helped us resolve it in a very satisfactory way. Really appreciated their kindness and efficiency.
